My Fridays are always so much fun… I love being able to share my favorite things with you all, but since I’m away, I thought it might be fun to ask you to share with me! When I come back I’ll be married to my very best friend (and as I write this you guys… I can’t wait!!) so I wanted to ask you… what’s the best piece of marriage advice you’ve ever received?
There are so many classics… don’t go to bed angry, say ‘I love you’ every day… but what, in your mind, is the real key?

Be best friends. Of course you will always need girl’s night out and boy’s weekends but as long as you love each other and share a true friendship, not matter what the bumps are (because it will be bumpy), you can always look at it and know that you are their for each other. Keeping the passion alive is a life long job but so is keeping the laughter. It’s a delicate balance and the best ride in life!
I can’t wait to see and hear about your big day. Sending many congrats and well wishes to you both!

So thrilled for you guys; can’t wait to hear all about it!
While I may not be hitched, I think my mom has given me some of the best advice (including Kahlil Gibran’s On Marriage). It’s not the stuff of wedding toasts, but she’s always said that long relationships experience lots of change, and the secret to weathering the stuff that isn’t so great is the knowledge that what you once had, you can have again. xoxox
